A week after Jon's birth and I'm finally getting to this. Better late than never right. I'm so excited and relieved to finally have him here in our family. I have to say he is the most perfect baby ever and I dare you to prove me otherwise. He has yet to cry unconsolably and is unbelievably happy, laid back and adorable on top of everything else.
About 8:30 we headed over to Christ to get the show on the road.
...and at 10:55 a.m. with no complications to speak of Jonny arrived at 6 lbs. 15 oz. and 20.5 inches long.
We have almost an identical picture from the operating room when Madeline was born which I'm so thankful for.

Initially everyone thought the Epstein genes may have beat out the Lippert genes this time around, but I think this picture definitely proves otherwise. He looks EXACTLY like his sister and if you don't believe me look at the next two pictures. One is of Madeline the day she was born and the second is of Jonny the day he was born. Can you tell the difference??!!
PICTURE #1
PICTURE #2
This is Jonny, day 2. We had a great view from our room at the hospital. Snow covered everything and sunny skies.
Ready to head home.
Madeline holding her brother for the first time.
We had a present for Madeline from her new brother that he brought her from the hospital, a Cinderella dress that she just loves. Figured the bribery of a gift couldn't hurt in helping her adjust to the adjustment of a new sibling.
This picture is a bit of an anomoly to me because he looks a few months old in it somehow, but it's my fav so far.
Many more pictures, videos, etc. to come. Hopefully at least while I'm on maternity leave I'll be better about keeping this blog up to date!
