Dance Recital

My beautiful baby girl kicked some major butt at her dance recital this weekend. We are so proud of her and the awesome job she did. Cameras weren't allowed in the actual recital so the videos were taken during the rehearsal that morning. She did a fantastic job and loved every minute of it.

The videos are quite possibly the cutest things you'll ever see. Seriously.

New videos

Finally posting some new stuff. Ummmm, it's only been about three months. I have a whole list of excuses not even including the fact that I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant. I'm trying people! Here's some recent videos.

This was about a month ago before Jonny really started walking. He loves hanging and playing on the gates.

This was taken on Easter morning. Don't mind the bin of baby clothes to go through and the second crib not yet put together in the corner. Every room in our house is a work in progress right now. 6 more weeks until baby George arrives so the countdown has begun and my nesting and reorganizing is out of control.

And here's Madeline completely taken with finding the Easter eggs that morning around the house. Our red dining room is no longer and this is the fantastic paint job Jon finished on Saturday. The furniture has literally been thrown in the room as I say again - everything is everywhere right now! Hopefully this weekend we can actually get everything in it's place and rearranged.

This is during the big Easter egg hunt at Lippert's. More importantly it's a great shot of my little man really walking - or should I say waddling.

Jonny is obsessed with the stairs. I'm not sure if this is a boy-thing or just a Jonny-thing, but the kid would climb the stairs all day long we let him. He hears the gate open and no matter what he's doing he bolts for the stairs. The best part is that he thinks it's hilarious. He crawls over giggling and then keeps looking back to see if you are chasing after him.

One of the few things Madeline asked for the Christmas was a Purple Tinkerbell Sleeping Bell. She was very specific - imagine that from my daughter. So you can imagine how excited and THANKFUL I was went I ACTUALLY found a purple sleeping bag with Tinkerbell on it.

We used to always open one present on Christmas Eve growing up so she got to open this up after church that night at my parent's house. Christmas is so much better once you have kids.

Viva Mexico!

Dear gawd it's a month later and I'm finally posting these. So much for my New Years resolution. We had a BLAST in Mexico. Here are a few highlights.

4 am Breakfast at the Columbus airport.

The beach, finally! The water and everything as far we could see was beautiful. The pictures on the resort's website just did not do this place.

Why does my left food look swollen? Yikes!

This is right outside our room. Pool, 20 yards. Ocean, 50 yards. Ahhhhhh.

The Rehearsal Dinner was on this huge boat the Merlings rented. Madeline ran around with her cousins and Jon went snorkling. I got in the ocean with Madeline for about 5 minutes until I panicked being in the open ocean with my dear sweet baby. The thoughts of the "unknown" underneath us seriously freaked me out. I tried, but that is all I could last. It was beautiful but I'd rather be on the boat where I belong :)

Jon left early for the wedding since he was a groomsman, but Madeline and I primped and got ready after a morning swimming with the dolphins - that's right! I'll post those pics in another post.

Madeline and the other little kids LOVED the dance floor. It was all lit up and right on the sand, just so beautiful.

This is Harris entertaining with his mad dancing skills. I just love this video!

This was the next attempt at pics for our Christmas card. They turned out so cute! The rest of the Christmas pics, the ones from NYE and our trip to Mexico our coming. My resolution this year is to stay on top of things better and get more organized. It's January 8th and I'm just getting to all this and the Christmas decorations just came down today too. As you can see it's going great :)

This was my first attempt at taking pictures for the Christmas cards. Didn't go so well. I had visions of them all bundled up in the snow, but Jonny wouldn't sit and he did not stand unassisted at this point so it lasted about 3 minutes until he start crying. They are cute shots of Madeline though. The next try was much better.
