So dog-gone cute

Our friends came by tonight with their new puppy, Moe. Isn't he the cutest thing ever? Look at this face!

Madeline warmed up to him and wanted to go home with him. Ten bucks says she wakes up tomorrow yelling "Moe!".

With all this nice weather we've been able to dig out all the fun summer toys...including the oh so awesome pink car. We were taking out the battery to be charged and Madeline decided to play auto shop. It looks like I staged some of these pictures but I swear she dressed herself and was pretending to fix the car herself. I'm constantly amazed at her imagination even at this age!

The secret to happiness

We went to see Disney Live with all the cousins tonight. Finally being a parent and working at a parenting magazines is paying off! Turns out the press tickets we've been getting to these shows all these years are great and I'm able to reserve blocks of them so we have extra seats to all spread out.


Madeline had the usual good time until about an hour in. I deployed the secret weapon to ensuring a happy child...lollipops. Who knew hard sugar on a stick was the secret to happiness?

Gymnastics

I've been taking Madeline to gymnastics for about two months now and attempted to take some pictures today. She quickly moves from one thing to another so I wasn't able to get any good shots that weren't fuzzy from her constant movement, but here's what I did get. She also started on the rings today, but I couldn't take pictures and help her at the same time. It was so cute - she got her toes all the way to the top.

At the end of class all the kids get on this parachute and the teachers get a bubble machine out which they all love.

Us parents then wave it up and down so the kids can run underneath it.

Elephants on Parade

I really wish that I could get Madeline on tape doing her whole song and dance to this, but this is all I could catch. She loves the Jungle book movie, especially the Elephants on Parade. She marches around stomping her feet and pretending to sing along.

Hope everyone had a nice St. Pattys Day. Our neighbor was waiting with glasses of Guiness for everyone on on the street when I pulled in the driveway tonight - it was a nice treat. A frosty glass of beer before I even entered my front door! The kids played...the parents drank!

We had a nice weekend at home. Friday night Christine babysat while Jon and I had a night out with friends. Madeline absolutely loves her Aunt Christine and they are like 16 year old girlfriends together it's so cute. Christine actually crawled into Madeline's crib when she wouldn't go to sleep to lay with her!

Madeline rode the pony, Oreo all the way around the barn today, her longest time on him yet. I wish I would have had the camera with me - next time. She loves feeding him and learned how to brush him today too. We were teaching her how to make him stop and start walking by making the right sounds. I have a feeling this spring/summer we are going to be spending a lot of time with the pony because she loves it! It's great way for her always to remember G.G.

I'm trying to take more videos of just the every day little things so here's a cute one from yesterday. For whatever reason, she loves dressing up in her coats, which explains the winter coat in the house. Usually she has her snow boats on too!

I think spring is finally around the corner. I was working at home today and we were able to go to the park this morning to enjoy the sunshine and warmer weather. Madeline flew off the big kid slide scratching her face up on the mulch. She has no fear of heights that's for sure!

Hello everybody! So my hope for this blog is the have an organized way of sharing our lives, stories, pictures, videos instead the way I have been doing it - rather poorly I must admit. So check back often because I hope to be updating every couple days.

Saturday we went to the Ringling Brothers Circus with all of Madeline's cousins. She was really into it for the first half hour, oooing and aahhing and clapping. The next hour she was more interested in moving from cousin to cousin playing musical chairs and the last hour was rough with periodic trips out into the lobby. Anyway it was fun to take her although when I asked Jon what his favorite part was he said, "When it was over!"
